I intend to use this Blog as a tool for a Kindergarten Social Studies Class. We will look at this video of "People In Your Neighbourhood" and learn the song. Then we'll use the pictures afterwards to think of other people and add them to the song. Afterwards, I'll give them an Art activity to draw and colour a person in their neighbourhood.
I think this activity will assist my lesson because children at that age tend to learn better when they have something like a song or poem to help them remember the information. I think they will enjoy learning that song especially because they can add new people to it - so the song can be different every time! Tell me what you think!

ReplyDeleteKai, I like how you phrase the survey sentence, "What do you want to be when you grow", thanks for letting us know that we still young...lol. I took the survey and sad to say only 6% wants to be teachers :(

Kai, i enjoyed the video on the blog and the beautiful colours on it.i like the survey however, i wish that it would have told me what i wanted to be without me choosing the occupation.( like if i answered questions about myself and based on my personality it would tell me the best job for me

I agree - I was really hoping to find a survey of that nature.. but I was also trying to find one that a Kindergarten child could do also and I didn't have any luck with that. I think in the future I will have to create one myself and replace it - A work in progress! Thanks for the Feedback!
